Talents Y - Meet the B side Of Nuno Silva

In this interview, we explore the A Side and B Side of Nuno Silva, Sales Account Manager at Yunit.

A Side (Reflection)

The First-Day Wake-Up Call: If you could go back to your first day at Yunit, what advice would you give yourself, knowing what you know today?

Listen more, ask questions without hesitation and don't feel that you have to know everything from day one. Getting to know people and understanding clients' challenges is just as important as mastering the technical side of the job.

Warning Sign: What recent change in the consultancy market makes you most curious (or concerned)?

The potential of artificial intelligence in consultancy. I'm excited by the possibility of freeing up time to think more deeply about clients' challenges. My concern is that we might confuse speed with quality and lose our critical thinking.

Yunit in 5 Years: What excites you most, and what keeps you awake at night?

I'm excited by the idea of Yunit growing, developing its people and having an increasingly greater impact on its clients. What keeps me awake at night is whether we can manage that growth while maintaining quality, close relationships and a sustainable workload for the team.

Proudest Moment of the Month: Which recent project or task gave you that feeling of "this is why I love what I do"?

The company's team-building event, as it gave us the opportunity to get to know our colleagues better outside the work environment and strengthen our connections. These are the moments that bring people closer together and make me proud to be part of the Yunit team.

The Message: If you could make sure the whole team understood just one message about the future, what would it be?

Yunit's future is built on everyone's contribution. Share your ideas, ask questions and highlight what we could improve. We need everyone's involvement to make good decisions and continue to earn our clients' trust. For that to happen, all ideas must also be heard and critically assessed.

B Side (Quick Fire)

Focus Playlist: Which song or sound helps you get into deep-work mode?

Any Bossa Nova playlist, preferably instrumental, with no lyrics. When I need complete concentration, the fewer words around me, the better!

Time Travel: If you could work remotely from anywhere in the world for a month, where would your office be?

At Estádio da Luz, during a month with plenty of home matches.

Hidden Talent: What are you incredibly good at outside the office that hardly anyone here knows about?

That's something only the people who spend time with me outside the office can answer. 😊

In the previous interview, José left you with the following question: "If you weren't working in your current area at Yunit, what completely different profession do you imagine you would be pursuing today?"

Perhaps banking. I spent many years gaining valuable experience in that field.

What question would you like to leave for the next interviewee?

"If you could put one idea into practice at Yunit as early as tomorrow, what would it be, and what difference would it make to the team or our clients?"
