Talents Y - Meet the B side Of José Cruz

In this interview, we share the A-Side and B-Side of José Cruz , Consultor at Yunit.

Side A (Reflection)

The First Day "Clamour":

I would tell myself to take a deep breath, not be afraid of making mistakes, and not try to know everything in the first few days.

Culture in Practice:

For me, it's when we are close to the application deadline and I see everyone rolling up their sleeves, regardless of their team, with a spirit of genuine mutual help to ensure we don't fail and that we deliver the best possible work.

The Invisible Mentor:

Without a doubt, Rui. From the beginning, his level of expectation, continuous support, and direct feedback pushed me out of my comfort zone several times, but that was exactly what made me take the leap in growth.

The Constructive Mistake:

In the beginning, I tried to do things by myself because I was a bit afraid to ask questions. Over time, I learned that we are constantly challenging ourselves and all trying to improve together.

The Team's Superpower:

If we were a character, we would undoubtedly be MacGyver. Our hidden superpower is looking at a maze of problems with limited resources and always finding the best shortcut to solve it.

Side B (Quick-fire)

The Yunit "Pitch":

I help grown-ups with incredible ideas get the money to make those ideas happen.

Decompression Ritual:

As soon as I shut my computer, I like to go for a short walk. Even if it's just for a few metres, it helps me to unwind and release stress.

Work Fuel:

A coffee first thing in the morning is an absolute necessity. It's all I need to get into absolute focus mode.

Sofia, in the last interview, left you with the following question:

"If you could swap roles with anyone at Yunit for just one day, who would you be and what would you do?"

I would swap with someone in a managerial role for a day, just to see our business from a different perspective and understand what it's like to manage pressure at that level.

What question would you like to leave for the next interviewee?

"If you weren't working in your current area at Yunit, what completely different profession do you imagine you would be doing today?"
