O Sistema de Incentivos à Transição Climática e Energética (SITCE) - Descarbonização e Eficiência Energética visa promover a descarbonização da economia, que é fundamental para reforçar a competitividade e o posicionamento estratégico das empresas nas cadeias de valor internacionais, existindo múltiplas oportunidades para melhorar o desempenho ambiental das atividades económicas, designadamente através da redução da intensidade do consumo energético, do incremento da utilização de fontes de energia renovável e da introdução crescente de tecnologias e de processos produtivos neutros ou livres de emissões de carbono.
O Registo do Pedido de Auxílio marca o início do projeto de investimento antes da abertura oficial do aviso, no entanto, este não dispensa a realização da candidatura. Após aprovação da candidatura, todos os investimentos realizados no âmbito do pedido de auxílio serão reembolsados na proporção da taxa que for atribuida. Ou seja, a boa notícia é que, após a submissão deste pré-registo, as empresas podem logo avançar com os investimentos, sem terem de aguardar pela abertura do aviso oficial. Além disso, é expetável que tenham prioridade na análise da candidatura após a sua abertura.

No, investments in renewable energy sources must be complementary to other project investments. The focus of this funding typology is to support the reduction of energy consumption and greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions through the replacement, adaptation, or introduction of low-carbon equipment, processes, and technologies.
However, while investments in renewable energy sources (such as photovoltaic or solar thermal systems) are not mandatory, they do contribute to the decarbonization goal and can increase the project’s evaluation score. In many cases, they help complement emission reductions or reduce dependence on fossil fuel sources.
