Internationalization via e-commerce: 50% non-refundable

Supporting the development of services to support SME internationalisation processes through e-commerce is the objective of the recent incentive announced under the RRP.

Through this e-commerce incentive, SMEs receive support for their **individual projects for direct presence in online channels**, namely the **creation of their own stores and/or adhesion to marketplaces**, as well as the **development of online promotion campaigns**.

This call aims to contribute to promoting e-commerce in **new exporters** and in **companies already engaged in international trade**.

FUNDING

Incentive rate up to 50% (non-repayable grant) on the eligible expenses determined, according to the following typologies:

  • €10,000 to €25,000, for projects framed within the “New Exporters” typology

 

  • €25,000 to €85,000, for projects framed within the “More Markets” typology

 

DEADLINE

Applications are open until the reception of the limit number of applications determined based on the budget allocation.

WHAT ARE THE ELIGIBLE EXPENSES?

A) Acquisitions of equipment and software directly related to project implementation.

B) Expenses related to the acquisition of third-party services such as:

b1) Strategies applied to digital channels for managing markets, channels, products, or customer segments;

b2) User-Centred Design (UX)

b3) Web Content Management (WCM), Campaign Management, Customer Relationship Management, and E-commerce platforms;

b4) Creation of own online stores, registration, and optimisation of presence in electronic marketplaces

b5) Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Search Engine Advertising (SEA)

b6) Social Media Marketing

b7) Content Marketing

b8) Display Advertising

b9) Mobile Marketing

b10) Business Intelligence and Web Analytics

C) Costs with technical personnel directly allocated to project implementation; competencies/skills in e-commerce and digital marketing must be evidenced and correspond to a minimum qualification level VI (NQF).

KEY STAGES IN SUBMITTING APPLICATIONS 

 

  1. Carry out the e-commerce diagnosis that allows assessing your company's degree of preparedness on the Portugal Exporta website. The evaluation result defines the typology of the application to be submitted: New Exporters or More Markets. The recommendations made available in this Diagnosis also aim to provide guidelines for the elaboration of a Detailed International E-Commerce Plan that supports the submission of the application.
  2. Develop an international e-commerce plan to support your application; the company must present a detailed International E-Commerce Plan (see details in Annex I of the Call for Applications Notice no. 08/C16-i02/2022).
  3. Submit the application at Balcão dos Fundos via an electronic form to be made available shortly. In the attachment, submit the E-Commerce Diagnosis provided by AICEP and your International E-Commerce Plan.
