The Managing Authority of the Algarve 2030 Regional Program announced the opening of Notice ALGARVE-2025-36. With an allocation of 4 million euros, this instrument aims to modernize the region's SMEs, reducing access barriers and prioritizing sustainable water management.
In a direct response to the region's climate challenges, this notice differentiates itself by specifically valuing investments in green transition solutions. Projects integrating technological systems for efficient water and energy management are eligible and valued.
This includes new water sources, such as rainwater, greywater, and desalinated water. It is important to note that for projects including desalination systems, the notice requires coordination with APA-ARH of the Algarve.
"By halving the minimum eligible investment threshold (€100,000), this regional tender democratizes access to incentives, making smaller-scale projects viable."
Compared to previous national notices, the minimum eligible investment is now 100,000 euros — half the value required in the previous homologous notice. The maximum co-financing rate is 50% non-repayable grant.
Applications must focus on intangible competitiveness domains, such as:
The application period is already open. The first analysis phase runs until 5:00 PM on March 31, 2026. Interested companies must submit their projects through Balcão dos Fundos.
