Tell us a little bit about your journey, where you come from, what your background is, where you studied, and how long you have been with Yunit?
I am a native of Regilde, Felgueiras, and I completed my degree in Economics, as well as the first year of the Master's in Management and Business, both at the University of Minho. I joined Yunit in June 2024, initially through a professional internship. At the end of the internship, I made the decision to stay with the company, as I believe I still have a lot to learn and develop professionally here.
Tell us about a project or moment that particularly motivated you or challenged you in an unexpected way.
Considering that this is my first job in the area, it is natural that some challenges arise. However, the main challenge has been keeping up with the news, especially regarding new calls and opportunities within the scope of community funds.
How would you describe Yunit's culture?
Yunit has an informal and welcoming culture, where well-being and a good work environment are always valued.
What advice would you give to someone who has just landed at Yunit?
Make the most of the first few days to get to know the people, the projects, and the company culture. Don't be afraid to ask questions; you don't need to know everything at the beginning. At Yunit, everyone is accessible and likes to help, so you will always have someone to support you.
If you hadn't gone into working at a Consultancy, is there any other sector of activity you would have chosen?
Tell us about a hobby you have or an activity you really want to do one day!
I would like to, one day, build up the courage to try skydiving!
What book, trip, or other activity recommendation was memorable for you and would you like to share with us?
I recommend a trip I recently took to Tunisia. The beaches are stunning, and I had the opportunity to get to know the local culture up close. One of the highlights was the visit to the El Jem Coliseum, an impressive historical construction. Furthermore, the excursion to the Sahara Desert was unforgettable; exploring the Chebika oasis and the incredible landscapes that surround it was a unique experience.
