Talents Y - Get to know the other side of Inês Martins

Tell us a little bit about your journey, where you come from, what your background is, where you studied, and how long you have been with Yunit?

I have a degree in Art History, a Master's in Art Market Management and, later, an Executive Master in Digital Marketing. This reflects my journey well: I spent a few years in the Art Markets world, and then started working in Marketing, initially at the Portuguese Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Then, I spent 7 years working in marketing in the real estate market, until I joined Yunit in early 2025 as Marketing Coordinator, where I went back to working with and for companies.

Tell us about a project or moment that particularly motivated you or challenged you in an unexpected way.

Without a doubt, the SME Heroes Awards ("Prémios Heróis PME"). If I already thought the initiative was interesting quite a few years ago, being able to experience it firsthand, meet the Heroes, and hear the stories and good examples of what is done in our country, was truly transformative!

How would you describe Yunit's culture?

The culture I found at Yunit is a culture of transparency, which goes hand in hand with freedom and responsibility. I feel that everyone knows what their role is and that their contribution is valued as part of the company's success.

What advice would you give to someone who has just landed at Yunit?

Don't be afraid to ask questions or raise doubts. On the other hand, feel free to suggest changes and improvements.

If you hadn't gone into working at a Consultancy, is there any other sector of activity you would have chosen?

I have a soft spot for the Sustainability area and the truth is that at Yunit I am lucky to be able to contribute to the development of this business area too!

Tell us about a hobby you have or an activity you really want to do one day!

I like cooking. Especially baking cakes and sweets. Several people have already encouraged me to launch a business in this area, but I still love marketing too much. Maybe one day!

What book, trip, or other activity recommendation was memorable for you and would you like to share with us?

Books and travel are (almost) always memorable, and I can't choose just one… But I can say that one of the most striking experiences of my life was running the Madrid Marathon. The whole training process, the doubts, the setbacks, and then the experience of race day and managing to cross the finish line, was something that really left a mark on me and taught me a lot.

SIDE B

What is your idea of happiness? Family and friends, nature, music, and food.

What is your most striking feature? My sense of justice and integrity.

Which trait do you like most in yourself? Perhaps my optimistic naivety.

Which trait do you like most in others? Empathy.

If you could choose a superhero power, what would it be? Eating without gaining weight.

What can't you live without?  My people, books, and music.

Tell us a song you love and that has accompanied you in recent months? I can't choose just one song, but I'll share the last concert I went to, by one of my favourite artists: Jorge Palma.
