Tell us a little bit about your journey, where you come from, what your background is, where you studied, and how long you have been with Yunit?
I come from Gaia, and I studied Mining Engineering at FEUP. I previously worked in a role related to the mining and quarrying sector, and in May 2024 I joined Yunit.
Tell us about a project or moment that particularly motivated you or challenged you in an unexpected way.
Managing the CircularTech agenda, besides being one of the reasons for coming to Yunit, is at the same time the challenge (for now).
How would you describe Yunit's culture?
Relaxed, young, challenging. What advice would you give to someone who has just landed at Yunit?
I don't think I've ever met anyone who wasn't willing to help, and it is a great opportunity to learn (from everyone) due to the diversity of backgrounds we have. So make the most of it, ask questions, and share knowledge. 😊
If you hadn't gone into working at a Consultancy, is there any other sector of activity you would have chosen?
The plan before accepting this challenge was something related to IT, so I think I would have gone down that route.
Tell us about a hobby you have or an activity you really want to do one day!
I always want to travel, I have no shortage of destinations on the list, from the Nordic countries to Australia... Between travelling and paragliding, these are activities that are (still) on the list.
What book, trip, or other activity recommendation was memorable for you and would you like to share with us?
The trip that usually arouses the most interest from others was the visits to Las Vegas. I especially liked the second time which, despite the cancelled flights, allowed me to do the San Francisco - Las Vegas trip by car, which has incredible landscapes. But Las Vegas is a world apart, and yes, it is just like in the movies.
SIDE B
What is your idea of happiness? Friends at the table and good conversation.
What is your most striking feature? Always seeing the positive side.Which trait do you like most in yourself? My ability to make my cat obey me when it feels like it. Other than that, my calmness.
Which trait do you like most in others? Serenity.
If you could choose a superhero power, what would it be? Teleportation, of course.
What can't you live without? I wouldn't say I can't live without it, but it would be quite difficult to live without my friends.
Tell us a song you love and that has accompanied you in recent months?
It's a bit difficult to choose one, my Spotify is always on shuffle mode... Jungle and Parcels have always been in my top, so I'm going to choose LCD Soundsystem - All my friends.
