Tell us a little bit about your journey, where you come from, what your background is, where you studied, and how long you have been with Yunit?
I am a native of Póvoa de Varzim and growing up by the sea always encouraged me to maintain an active lifestyle. After finishing secondary school, I started my academic training in Electrical and Computer Engineering, an area that sparked my initial interest. However, after the first year, I decided to suspend my studies and switch courses to Economics, graduating from the University of Minho and, subsequently, I did my master's in Management at the Catholic University of Porto. I have been at Yunit for about 9 months and this experience has been very enriching, in an environment that values commitment and where I can learn every day.
Tell us about a project or moment that particularly motivated you or challenged you in an unexpected way.
For me, every project has been an opportunity for growth, always bringing challenges that motivate me to go further. What makes the work more interesting is the diversity of areas and sectors in which we are involved, which requires rapid adaptation and constant learning. I find it especially stimulating to work with tight deadlines, because it is at those times that I can put myself to the test and reinforce skills like time management and resilience, essential for evolving both inside and outside of work.
How would you describe Yunit's culture?
Yunit's culture is very collaborative and informal, which makes the environment lighter and easier to adapt to. I feel that there is a genuine desire here to share knowledge, and that each person's contribution is recognized and valued.
What advice would you give to someone who has just landed at Yunit?
Take the opportunity to ask questions and get involved in different challenges. Don't be afraid to be curious and show your willingness to learn.
If you hadn't gone into working at a Consultancy, is there any other sector of activity you would have chosen?
If I weren't working in a consultancy, I might have gone into the automotive sector, a sector that has always fascinated me due to its complexity and constant innovation.
Tell us about a hobby you have or an activity you really want to do one day!
I recently went back to playing competitive volleyball, a sport that has always been with me, but I would like to explore other modalities more linked to the sea, such as surfing and bodyboarding.
What book, trip, or other activity recommendation was memorable for you and would you like to share with us?
Travelling is a passion I've had since I was young and, without a doubt, the most memorable trip I've taken to date was to Turkey. Getting to know Istanbul, Ankara, crossing diverse cultures and contemplating the spectacle of hot air balloons in Cappadocia at sunrise marked me, inspiring my desire to continue getting to know new realities and exploring the world.
