MAR2030 - Transformation of Fisheries and Aquaculture Products in the Field of Productive Investments

Types of Investment

1. Productive investments, as well as investments that promote decarbonization, the use of renewable energy, food safety, energy efficiency and security, circular economy, and digitalization;
2. Investments in the certification and promotion of sustainable fishery and aquaculture products, including processes leading to trademark or patent registration;
3. Marketing innovation through the implementation of a new marketing method involving significant changes in product design or packaging, or in its promotion and distribution;
4. Investments that reduce the environmental impact of the activity.

Eligible Expenses

• Systems and equipment for the preparation, processing, treatment, preservation, packaging, storage, marketing, traceability, and labelling of fishery and aquaculture products;
• Equipment and means for internal handling and weighing;
• Systems and equipment for the verification, control, and certification of product quality and traceability;
• Systems or equipment for the storage, processing, and marketing of by-products and waste;
• Systems or equipment for detecting or removing hazardous substances from fishmeal or fish oil, even for non-human use;
• Systems and equipment for signalling, safety, fire detection and firefighting, computerized management, and telematics equipment;
• Systems and equipment for water, sanitation, communications, electricity, and fuel networks;
• Expenses related to the development of online sales applications and acquisition of hardware/software;
• Design and registration of trademarks, including the creation of own brands and improvements in design/packaging.

• Maximum Investment: €1,000,000

Funding Rates

Total Budget: €4,285,714
The public support rate for operations is up to 50% of eligible expenses and up to a maximum amount of €500,000 per operation.

From 04/10/2025 to 31/10/2025 (6 p.m.).

Who Can Apply

Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) whose activity falls within the following CAE subclasses:

• 10201 - “Preparation of fishery and aquaculture products”;
• 10202 - “Freezing of fishery and aquaculture products”;
• 10203 - “Preservation of fishery and aquaculture products in olive oil and other vegetable oils and other sauces”;
• 10204 - “Salting, drying, and other processing activities of fishery and aquaculture products”;
• 10411 - “Production of crude animal oils and fats, related to fishery and aquaculture products”;
• 10850 - “Manufacture of ready-made meals and dishes, related to fishery and aquaculture products.”

Notice Specificities

Eligibility Criteria

• Eligibility of expenses begins on 01/01/2024;
• Duration of operations: 24 months;
• Must not have approved operations under Mar 2030 with execution below 50% of the approved eligible investment, verified through payment requests submitted up to the date of the application approval decision;
• Must hold an operating license and veterinary control number for the modernization of existing establishments;
• Must not involve the creation or physical expansion of industrial units.
