MAR2030 - Sustainable Development of Aquaculture in the Field of Productive Investments

Investment Typologies

• Decarbonisation, involving the construction or modernisation of vessels supporting aquaculture activity that encourage the use of renewable energies, or the use of marketing and transport vehicles with reduced carbon emissions;

  Investments in the certification and promotion of sustainable fisheries and aquaculture products, including processes culminating in the registration of trademarks or patents;
• Support for the promotion of animal health and welfare;
• Requalification of natural or artificial tanks used for aquaculture;
• Investments in closed recirculation systems.

Eligible Expenses

• Requalification and adaptation of existing productive infrastructures and physical infrastructure and land preparation, as well as protection and security systems;
• Acquisition and installation of specific productive equipment for aquaculture activity and internal logistical support equipment;
• Improvements to hydraulic systems, energy systems, and environmental infrastructures;
• Mitigation of productive risk (SMEs) - Includes expenses associated with contracting aquaculture insurance.

Financing

• Maximum Investment: 300,000€
• Minimum Investment: 3,000€

Financing Rates 

Up to 60% as a non-repayable grant for Small and Medium Enterprises and up to 50% for Small Mid Caps and Large Enterprises.

Overall Allocation: 1,050,000€

From 16/02/2026 to 31/04/2026 (18:00).

Who can apply

Companies whose activity falls within one of the following activities can apply:

• CAE 03210 «Aquaculture in salt and brackish waters»;
• CAE 03220 «Freshwater aquaculture»;
• CAE 46381 «Wholesale of fish, crustaceans and molluscs» (Depuration centres in related establishments - depuration and/or dispatch centres)

Notice Specifics

Eligibility Criteria

• Eligible expenses since 15 November 2025;
• Maximum execution period of 14 months;
• Demonstrate the economic and financial viability of the project, supported by a business plan and, when the investment exceeds 50 thousand euros, a feasibility study;
• Hold, attaching the proof upon submission of the application, the aquaculture activity title and, when applicable, the veterinary control number.
