IFIC - «AI in SMEs» Line

Opened Until 28-11-2025 PRR - Recovery and Resilience Plan

Under the IFIC, the "AI in SMEs" Line aims to support the adoption of AI solutions by micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises, promoting the optimization of internal processes, the increase of operational efficiency, and the integration of digital technologies in interactions with clients and partners.

Types of Investment

  • AI solutions for productivity – Ready-to-use tools that increase worker productivity;
  • AI solutions applied to business – Tools that improve interaction with clients and partners, or optimize internal processes.

Eligible Expenses

  • Acquisition of equipment and components to incorporate artificial intelligence solutions;
  • Acquisition of software, including SaaS subscription costs;
  • Expenses with the hiring of up to 2 technicians or platform managers for the implementation and operation of the project (24 months, up to €80,000 per position);
  • Acquisition of essential consulting and/or training services;
  • Expenses with accountants or certified auditors for expense validation (max. €2,500);
  • Other expenses directly related to the project and areas of action.

Funding

Notice Budget: €100,000,000 – one hundred million euros

Support Rate:

Non-repayable funding of 75%, with a limit of €300,000 per single company.

Minimum Investment: €5,000 – five thousand euros.

Application Period

From 30/09/2025 to 28/11/2025, with applications evaluated in phases:

  • Phase I: 31/10/2025;
  • Phase II: 28/11/2025.

Who Can Apply

Micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

Notice Specificities

Eligibility Criteria

  • Investment start date between 01/01/2025 and 30/06/2026;
  • Maximum execution period of 24 months (+6 exceptional months);
  • Compliance with the "Do No Significant Harm" (DNSH) principle;
  • Proven economic and financial viability;
  • Legal compliance (national and EU);
  • No double funding;
  • R&D – independent technical assessments.
